Large tin box for Lebkuchen - Vintage metal cookie box with lid - Rectangular shape with copper and green white colour pictures and pattern - German 50s 60s design storage E. Otto Schmidt Nürnberg - Nuremberg Gingerbread very big size

This is a vintage Lebkuchen tin box, with a rectangular/cubic shape and a lid.
The tin is very large and will hold a huge amount of ground cookies - or whatever else you want to store in it. It was likely made in the 50s or 60s by E. Otto Schmidt Nürnberg, and was used to hold a whole winter ration of Gingerbread from Nuremberg. It is painted all over with beautiful paintings and patterns in green, white and copper colours. Really beautiful and also practical for storage!

The tin is in vintage condition, with several signs of age and use. There are a few scratches and small dents, and it might need a further polishing. But it's nothing too wild and adds a lot of character to this wonderful box. Please see the pictures for details!

Dimensions: ca. 15,5 cm height, ca. 42 cm width, ca. 29,5 cm depth, ca. 1240 g weight.
